After School Clubs 2023-2024

We are so lucky to be able to offer such a variety of clubs. Next term we will change the activities we will be running so if you have any other ideas please do let me know.

After School Clubs (timing 3.15-4.15pm)

Monday-

Football- Mr Mawn our visiting PE teacher will be leading our football club on a Monday lunchtime at the Hornton Playing Field, this is open to all children in Keystage 2 (there is no charge for this club). The children will need to have a packed lunch if they are attending this club.

Tuesday-

Singing club- Once again (following the success of Musicals club) Mrs Saunders and Miss Goddard would like to invite children to join their singing club. This will be held in Ms Peter’s Classroom. Year 1-6

Wednesday

Netball- Mrs Tubb has kindly offered to run Netball Club for children in Year 3-6 (playground or JUMPA). The first meeting will be on the playground. Please wear warm PE kit and bring a snack to give you energy before you start.

Lego- Mrs Pumford will run a lego club for children for years 1-5. This will take place in Miss Goddard’s classroom. They are going to use their imagination to make different models each week.

Thursday-

Forest School- Mrs Hart and Mrs Fowler would like to invite children to join them at Forest School. This club is open to children from EYFS to Year 3. The club is held at our village pocket of woodland at the pavilion.

Harry Potter Club- We are so excited to offer this new crafting/media/story writing club to children in (Years 4-6). This will be run by Mrs Whitehouse and will take place in the Library. Please note we will be watching extracts from the film Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (PG).

Friday-

Key stage 2 Dance Class- will take place in the Methodist chapel (Year 3-6). Connie and Chester’s mum is looking forward to teaching you to dance and express yourself to music (a mixture of street/disco).  Numbers are restricted to 15.

All clubs (apart from football) cost £4.50 per week – they will all be available to book on ParentPay (on the 23rd of January)  and need to be booked by the end of the day on the 29th of January at the latest. The clubs will run for eight sessions. We recognise that the cost of living is increasing, so if anyone would like support in paying for the clubs, please let us know. Clubs will start during the week beginning the 29th of January.
